Therapy + Education = Real Recovery

Aspen Education Group is a network of over 30 programs in 13 states that provide enlightened, innovative approaches to recovery for young people (ages 11-26) struggling with substance abuse and other behavioral challenges. We succeed where others fail, because we know young people – we’ve been helping youth and families for over two decades. Aspen offers programs that can help young people at whatever stage they might be – from early intervention for a young person just starting to experiment with alcohol or drugs to more structured residential treatment for young people who are further down the path.

Aspen Education Group is recognized nationwide as the leading provider of education programs for struggling or underachieving young people. As the largest and most comprehensive network of therapeutic schools and programs, Aspen offers professionals and families the opportunity to choose a setting that best meets a student's unique academic and emotional needs. Our services range from short-term intervention programs to residential treatment, and include a variety of therapeutic interventions including: boarding schools, wilderness therapy, and residential treatment.

Our wilderness therapy programs are in the most awe-inspiring places a teenager can go to. We provide accredited care and proven treatment methods in a setting where young people can discover themselves – by being somewhere larger than themselves: the Great Outdoors. Nature is a powerful teacher. She cannot be manipulated or debated. Her majesty creates a unique, high-impact environment for young people. In this place of transformation, the ceiling is the sky; the four walls are East, West, North, and South.

The wilderness takes your child away from negative peer influences and puts them in the pristine wilderness where they begin a journey that will change how they think about family and about life. Teens begin to see the value of cooperation as they work with the group

Our boarding schools and residential treatment programs also offer unique and powerful environments for struggling teens, from our working horse and cow ranch, Turn-About Ranch, to our all-girls boarding school with equine therapy, Copper Canyon Academy, recently featured on the Dr. Phil Show. These residential programs offer a powerful combination of therapy and rigorous academics. Students often catch up on lost credits and return home back on track to graduate and go to college. Many of our schools have an impressive record of college acceptances, particularly striking when you consider than some of these teens once were on the verge of failing in school.
