Residential Treatment in a Home-Like Setting for youth ages 11-18.
Staff ratio is four students to one staff
Specializes in working with teens who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems such as depression, substance abuse, impulsive behaviors, attention problems, isolation, post-traumatic stress disorder.
Our certified teachers are trained to work with gifted students, students with learning difficulties, and students with behavioral difficulties. Our academic program has one main goal – to prepare our students to be successful in future learning whether it is in private, public, or post-high school setting.
Because we feel strongly about the value of long-lasting family relationships, the Youth Care program is patterned to assist students in acquiring a greater appreciation for their own families.
Appropriate ways of acting and responding in a family environment are addressed therapeutically and educationally in a home setting. Our goal is to return our students to their families having developed the skills and attitudes that make them a welcome addition at home again.
YouthCare is able to offer a continuum of care through transition to Pine Ridge Academy. PineRidge also provides a structured setting for students; however, the therapeutic program and staffing pattern is not as intense as Youth Care. Students receive one individual therapy session per week, one family therapy session each week, an accredited school program, a substance abuse program, recreational therapy and one psychiatric visit once a month. Just like Youth Care, Pine Ridge is a small home setting.

When you drive up to Youth Care, you will not see large dormitories or large buildings. The programs are designed to look and feel like large homes. Students live in a home-like setting, which includes living rooms, bedrooms, and a large family kitchen. In this residential setting, students learn the value of chores, positive interactions with others, and developing family relationships
