SunHawk Academy offers a very comprehensive adolescent treatment program in a boarding school setting. We begin by modifying negative behavior, then progress with academics to complete the needed changes in young people's lives. A key ingredient is the amount of time and effort the therapists spend working directly with students and the interaction that they have with parents during and after the program. Every bad attitude and manipulative behavior is dealt with directly and immediately. Through this consistent correction and positive guidance, day after day, in a structured, hard-working environment, positive changes begin to emerge. >> Learn more about SunHawk Academy >>
Equine-assisted therapy forms the heart of the program at Aspen Ranch, a unique residential treatment program and school for teens ages 13-18. Surrounded by towering green mountains and incredible red rock desert , there are miles of BLM and Forest Service land in all directions, and Capitol Reef National Park is just twenty miles away. The Ranch's residential treatment program is set in an ideal environment for teens between the ages of 13 and 17 who need an opportunity to make positive changes in their lives. >> Learn more about Aspen Ranch >>
Imagine a place where your teen can get back to basics: hard work, responsibility, and old-fashioned values in a community of people working together to create something meaninful. It all happens on this working horse and cow ranch where teens leave behind the high-speed, mass-consumption culture and rediscover what it means to be part of something larger than themselves. Located in beautiful Escalante, Utah, Turn-About offers teens something they rarely get these days: a rite of passage. As students take responsibility for their horses and learn how to work as a team they discover just how capable they are of really doing something with their lives. Defiant teens who refuse to participate in family life find particular success at Turn-About Ranch. Many of these teens simply do not believe that how they act matters - and Turn-About Ranch is the place they discover just how profoundly right-action can impact the world around them. >> Learn more about Turn-About Ranch >>
